Gleno

This house sits on the top edge of a bowl shaped valley and immerses itself into the land. A simple proportion of three layers of the house is seen from miles away across the valley. The bottom layer is an arrival by car, and a workshop with high level windows – dark in the day, and glowing by night. The next layer up is the main accommodation of the house which has kitchen, dining and bedrooms, then it’s topped with a chill out space for Mum and Dad, which enjoys the tranquillity of seclusion, and the view of beyond.
